Who qualifies for the protocol?
Every woman, whether single or married, who is experiencing hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) in their private region.
What are the possible causes?
The hyperpigmentation occurs when the skin of the area produces excessive melanin, which is the pigment that gives your skin its colour.
The causes for this are many, including:
Genetic factors, hormonal changes; especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or in case of polycystic ovaries, or adrenal gland disorder. Moreover, hair removal products and friction (caused by weight gain in the thighs) can also cause hyperpigmentation.
What does the protocol consist of?
The protocol consists of five bleaching (lightening) sessions and two plasma injection sessions. No peeling is used.
Number of visits and duration:
There will be 7 visits to the clinic, five of them for bleaching sessions (one session every 7-10 days), as well as two plasma injection sessions, during a total period of 8-10 weeks.
